Styling For Young Modern Latinas
The young modern Latinas of today are proud, confident and striking young women. Fashion is extremely important to the young modern Latina and the quest to look good is ongoing. Even when she’s at her most casual, the young Latina will turn heads with her individual style. Whether she prefers the sassy styling of fitted, low-rise jeans or shorts and figure hugging shirts, the more demure short dresses with pumps or boots, or the funky hip-hop styling of low-slung jeans and oversized shirts, you can guarantee that the young Latina will always look good.

Most often with shoestring straps, fitted bodices with beading, embroidery or applique will fall into a flared or slightly fitted full-length skirt, often with ruffles and a split at the front.
Young Latinas tend to have great hair and they like to wear it loose. It is always impeccably groomed and more often than not, falls in a thick, dark, glossy curtain past the shoulders. Hair styling products and equipment are as important to the latin woman’s beauty regime as make-up is.
Speaking of which, here are a few make-up suggestions for young modern Latinas. With their meditteranean skin tones, there are not many colors that won’t suit Latin women. For eyes, they really can take their pick from pretty much any color they like, depending on how much impact they want to make, and if the look is for day or evening wear. Brown, green, blue, pink, mauve, gray, burgundy and gold will all look amazing. A touch of sparkle high on the cheekbones or under the brows adds a nice touch, but only for the evening – it’s not a good look for during the day. Finish with a smudged eyeliner under the lower lid and mascara or false lashes. The lighter Latina skin tones will look good with a dusting of peach or pale bronze over the cheeks. For darker skin tones, a terracotta or a deeper bronzing powder with gold tones will give amazing results. Lips are easy too. Sheer, glossy colors such as pale pink, coral, beige or gold, or alternatively, deep, matte colors such as red, burgundy, mauve and brown will look great.
With their intuitive and unique sense of style, Latinas know what they want in terms of fashion and personal styling, and the young modern Latinas of today are certainly not afraid to go after it.
